Western Digital WD TV Live HD Media Player Video Review
I bought one of these and it works great for playing videos of my home shares, as I'm still using Windows XP. Plays every media format I've tried. Apparently it doesn't support Windows 7. I've used it with both HD and 3x4 TV through HDMI and composite or component video. The USB connection doesn't support hubs or hard drives powered by the USB, at least not the ones I tried, but will play from small USB key drives, SD card drives, or plug in drives. The internet capabilities are not that great. The only video media site you can access is utube, and a lot of the videos on there that one would like to play come back as "not enabled for TV connected device". It doesn't seem to recognize autoplay through playlists on UTUBE. Of course there's no support for Hulu, FANCAST, or Netflix.
