Radar Systems: Requirements, Equations, and Design

This talk will introduce radar systems, including an overview of the forms of radar equation used in various applications such as surveillance, tracking, and imaging. Performance Requirements definition and budgeting to component subsystems will be developed with examples in radar system design including propagation issues. Example radar systems and applications including Air Traffic Control, Air Defense, Airborne MTI, GMTI, and SAR (synthetic aperture radar) will be discussed.
