Army Aberdeen PdM Radar seeks SETA/PMO support

The AN/TPQ-53 Counterfire Target Acquisition Radar provides long-range counterfire target acquisition for mortars, rockets and cannons. Product Manager Radars and Lockheed Martin were recently awarded an excellence in systems engineering award by the Defense Department for their work with AN/TPQ-53. U.S. Army RDECOM CERDEC systems engineers and quality assurance engineers supported the Q-53 radar system and developed the predecessor system prior to it being transitioned to the PM. Product Manager Radars, located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD is seeking contractor-provided services to support the mission of the program office. PdM Radars supports a portfolio of systems consisting of
  • the AN/TPQ-53 Radar,
  • FIREFINDER Family of Equipment (AN/TPQ-36/37),
  • the Lightweight Counter Mortar Radar (LCMR) Family of Systems (AN/TPQ-48, AN/TPQ-48A, AN/TPQ-49 and AN/TPQ-50), as well as
  • Foreign Military Sales (FMS).


Support shall include, but not be limited to,
  • acquisition management,
  • project management,
  • engineering,
  • business management,
  • operations,
  • fielding,
  • new equipment training, and
  • logistics support resources. 
These resources shall ensure that process structures and plans are in place for successful product development, acquisition, sustainment, supportability, fabrication, overhaul and fielding, training, de-fielding and day-to-day administration of PdM Radars.
