Drone Crashes Into Building In St. Louis
Police are investigating whose drone crashed into the Metropolitan Square Building in downtown St. Louis Monday afternoon.
Authorities say someone found a DJI Phantom Two Quadcopter drone on the balcony of the building's 30th floor around 4 p.m.
Police believe someone crashed the drone into the building before it landed on the balcony. The model of drone is controlled by someone on the ground through Wi-Fi and features a high-definition camera. It retails for about $1,300.
The Federal Aviation Administration requires civilian drone operators to remain within sight of their drones and fly no higher than 400 feet above ground. Commercial drone use is banned by the FAA, which is investigating the incident
